Locals of Glenshire & Devonshire enjoy the low snow load and has been dubbed the nickname “Banana Belt.” The neighborhood is mainly made up of full-time homeowners.

Nearby is the Boca Reservoir is a popular spot for water recreation of all kinds. The reservoir offers year round fishing and it is not unusual to see people ice fishing here during the winter months. In the summer, many take to the lake with boats and personal watercrafts and enjoy kayaking and canoeing when the water is calm. Boca Reservoir also offers a campground on the east and west shores.
