Fanny Bridge:
Almost a century old the Fanny Bridge is the only outlet of Lake Tahoe into the Truckee River. Supposedly its name comes from all the fannies visible from the road as bystanders stare over the edge into the aquamarine waters. The dam was completed in 1913, as you walk along the bridge photos are displayed showing the different stages of construction. Fanny Bridge is a wonderful place to take a family photo, watch a striking sunset, and get a quick history lesson.
